Max Spohn began to design and build things in childhood. He soon went on to combine his love for art and wood to build custom guitars. This passion, shaped by focused study at Westsächsische Hochschule Markneukirchen, an internship with Raymond Kraut and many years of personal study and experimentation has made him a professional luthier.
As an instrument maker he is motivated by the desire to evolve his craft and the idea of what it means to build one-of-a-kind instruments in the 21st century. Max builds some of the most responsive steel string guitars in his workshop in Heidenheim/Germany.
The possibility of playing some of the most exclusive guitars during the past editions of the HGGS have been truly inspiring moments.
