Guitarist and composer Leon Maria Plecity was born 1995 in the city of Düsseldorf and studied jazz guitar at the „Institut für Musik“ Osnabrück and the „Hochschule für Musik und Tanz“ in Cologne from 2013 to 2016. Since then he played as a sideman in several different projects and played concerts in germany, the netherlands, switzerland, austria and the czech republic. With his own quintett he released his first album, consisting of entirely original material, in fall 2019 and continues to become one of the most interesting young guitar players in the german jazz scene.
